Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico, was born to an adored family of musicians. She spent most of her childhood listening to music from the past and boleros of the past, traditional ranchero or romantic music and classic classical music. Ana is a lover of Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and later at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. As a student and being a young professional in Mexico City and Guadalajara she performed with various chamber groups and choirs. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to the southern part of California. She sings with Ensemble XXI Redlands, and sings Latin American traditional music solo in a variety of private occasions. The love she has for the performing arts, music, as well as the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and teacher. Ana is also an active member of the Community Chorus of Redlands as in addition to the Inland Master Chorale and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to bring to others her passion for traditional Latin American music. She hopes this can inspire younger generations to keep the tradition alive.
